Immerse yourself in the world of Augustus the Strong
Take a break in the romantic café on the ground floor, whose walls are panelled with precious woods and decorated with likenesses of the heads of the regents from the Wettin house. Savour the seclusion of the private booth in the cosy bar room or the fantastic view of the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche) on the shaded outdoor terrace.
Dine in our elegant restaurant with its own library on the top floor. The ceiling on the first floor is decorated with a splendid porcelain chandelier, hand-made with painstaking attention to detail. This one-off piece fascinates all visitors at first sight – as does the second precious porcelain masterpiece: The master-crafted replica of the world-famous original "Moor with Emeralds" from the Green Vault (Saxony's state treasury).
The traditional cellar tavern in the basement provides the perfect atmosphere for dining to your heart's desire, whether with a few friends or a large party. You will feel at home immediately in the cosy, yet elegant surroundings. With torches on the walls, a nostalgic fireplace, traditional leaded glass windows and an artistically forged highly ornamental lattice in the entrance area, it transports you back to the 18th century.
