Dine like Augustus the Strong
Take a culinary journey to the 18th century to an era when each meal was royally celebrated. The prince elector's kitchen serves an exquisite selection of Saxon and Bohemian specialities. An excellent selection of fine wines rounds off the comprehensive menu.
The restaurant has rooms on three storeys. From the traditional cellar tavern in the basement with its rustic furnishings, a baroque motif continues through the cosy pub on the ground floor to the first-class restaurant on the first floor.
There is plenty to discover for lovers of elaborate baroque design. A chandelier, hand-made with painstaking attention to detail, dominates the interior over two storeys. Porcelain vases and groups of figures are also displayed decoratively.
The replica of the "Moor with Emeralds" statue, based on the world-famous original by Balthasar Permoser which can be viewed in the "Green Vaults", Saxony's historical state treasury, is a further visual highlight.
